The exclusive, one-piece polyethylene super-tough carrier is lightweight and handheld. The carrier holds it's own battery making it completely portable and weatherproof. The TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM has an operating voltage of 12 vdc (nominal) and a SAE 7-wire wiring protocol. It is easily adaptable to RV 4, 6 or 7-wire standards. The TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM scans the left turn circuit (1.5 secs), stop (3.0 secs) and right turn (1.5 secs). The circuits are powered one at a time and the sequence repeats indefinitely. Mode select switches can start and stop scanning action as needed while using the Freeze Feature, and the switch has center "all off" position. "On-Off Toggle" switches control aux, marker and tail light circuits and one red LED for each of the 6 circuits indicates circuit status. The TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM indicates a low battery with one red LED that blinks at 11 volts, on steady at 10 volts. To check circuit breakers, the TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM uses one 20 amp auto-reset circuit breaker to check the aux, mark and tail and one 15 amp auto-reset circuit breaker to check the left, stop and right. One LED for the 20 amp breaker and one LED for the 15 amp breaker will turn on to alert you of a short circuit. The current capacity for the TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM is 34 amps (total) and it includes a SAE 7-Pole plug w/cable protector spring for easy trailer connection. Also included: an 8.5 ft. 7-conductor trailer cable. For normal usage, a regular car battery will power your TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM. For heavy usage, use a Group 24 deep-cycle or gel-cell battery. The TrailerTesterTM SCANNERTM also works with a battery tender for extended power or a power supply which eliminates the need for any battery.
